As Eco friendly textiles blend with today’s fashion, companies such as GG2G become icons for for a better tomorrow. While it seems a great deal of the populace still has not gotten with the program, it is only a matter of winning over the hearts and minds of those we cross. Alison Grieveson and Dayan Moore are friends, designers and business partners who certainly “get it”

GG2G is one of the several leading companies, creating what is called green products. In the past, designers have refused to take part in the idea of recycling textiles, condemning their use as silly and impractical. While this is their choice I find it funny that some of these same designers have used a variety of items in their fashion shows to make it appear as if they are in support of such a business model.

Every item that comes out of GG2G production is a one of a kind, their steeple textile are recycled billboards, a vinyl material that is used for several months then sent to the dump. Vinyl is a material, that has a very slow decomposition rate. GG2G estimates, that they have diverted thousands of pounds of material from entering the landfill, an accomplishment to certainly be proud of.
