Ramblings of a Fashion Hag

On occasion I am prone to a momentary walk down memory lane and today is just such an occasion. I have something like almost three years in SL which makes me somewhat of a fossil. So anyway as I logged in today I couldn’t help but think back to November or December of 2006 when I launched the very first issue of SL Vogue Magazine. Back then there were two or three other in world publications and maybe one or two other web based ones.

SL Vogue Magazine had a good run but as is the rule of thumb all things come to an end and I lost my Graphic designer to serious illness. This isn’t your typical I’m “sick” excuses I spoke with her regularly on the phone. I was admittedly distraught and ended up closing the company. A short four or five months later I managed to gather up the gusto to get things moving again. It wasn’t but two or three months later that I found out that Ammon Pera had created a men’s version of SL Vogue Magazine and was sniping members from other peoples groups. Ironically I found out through people who were thanking me for creating a men’s Vogue magazine, one could imagine my initial confusion.

What transpired from there was something of a war where some fact and some fiction were brought to light and I found myself the target of greifer attacks and a fair amount if Libel. It has always been my belief that one does not reach true fame until they are both A. known and B. attacked

Well almost needless to say but added anyways was a monetary trail of disaster where Ammon managed to embezzle steal and trick his way through hundreds of thousands of Lindens through elaborate schemes and sinister contests. Not many will ever understand the true level of discredit Ammon caused within the publication industry of Second Life and much like the holocaust some will choose to never believe it happened. Well anyway my trip down memory lane brought me not being able to resist giving Ammons site a click just to see what the pud was up to these days. Turns out not much, which is just as well, since he isn’t missed.
